UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT STUDENTS BRANCHUniport SB was formally inaugurated on August 29, 2001 at a well-attended meeting hosted by the branch. The SB came into being as a result of pioneering efforts of Mr. Ogiso Ovie and his team of hardworking volunteers. The University is located at Port Harcourt in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and is one of the second generations of Universities. The Uniport SB is active and recently commissioned its Computer Centre. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. N. Briggs declared the center opened and promised the University’s support. The SB is also active at both Nigeria Section and PH Subsection activities. Dr Roland Uhumwangho is the founding Branch Counsellor of the Uniport SB and Mr. Francis Udoh is the current Branch Chair.
